What is cerebral palsy?
Cerebral palsy refers to a variety of coordination and movement problems which become
apparent in early childhood. It is caused by brain injury, or abnormal development before birth,
during birth, or very soon after.
Muscle control and coordination is affected causing posture and balance difficulties, poor
coordination and tremors. There may also be vision, hearing, swallowing, and speaking issues.
